Started in a humble garage at residence of Rev. Wong Pin Duan in Jan 1989, we were the first community in Australia gathered under the name of “The Chinese Methodist Church”, with missionary James Ha as our first minister.
1989年在黄品端牧师府上的车房开始了本堂第一次的聚会，当时是澳洲第一个以「基督教卫理公会」名义聚集的团体，首位牧者为夏长华宣教士。
The congregation grew and formed formal church with regular Sunday services, and relocate to St. Paul's & St. Peter's church. We later relocated to St. David's Uniting Church on 18 Feb 1990.
短时间内聚会的人数增加，于是租用了圣保罗和圣彼得教堂为聚会地点。后来，我们租借圣大卫联合教堂。
Bought a block of land at Eight Mile Plains in January 1991.
在1991年一月，我们在八里坪买了一块地。

Building construction took close to two years and the church moved in on 2 May 1993. The facility was dedicated to God on 27 Jun 1993.
建造工程进行将近两年，于1993年五月二日正式迁入，并在六月廿七日举行献堂礼。

29/12/2019 - Wishart Preaching Point constituted as Mercy Methodist Church.
佈道站成立为慈恩堂。
The church now serves more than 400 people in Brisbane region, mostly of Chinese ethnicity and descendants. Although still named Chinese Methodist Church, we welcome people from all background, ethnicity and native languages to join us as one body – the body of Christ. We have Sunday services and Sunday school every week, various fellowships to bond fellow christians together, cell groups and special classes to explore deeper in the Word of God.
如今福恩堂服事超过400位居住于布里斯本及周围地区的基督徒，多为华裔以及他们的后代。虽然依旧采用「华人卫理公会」为名，本会欢迎来自不同背景、族群和语言的人加入福恩家，成为一个身体–耶稣基督的身体。目前我们除每周日崇拜，还有主日学、各团契促进彼此关系、小组以及专门课堂让信徒们更深入的认识上帝的话语。
